'I have always promised myself: 'When you have made some nice films and earned some money, you are going to finally write your novel,' he said.

TriUPA is about to send out a comprehensive survey to everyone on their mailing list. You do not have to join in order to sign up for the mailing list; however, membership is only $30. Go to their
current site and look for the blue "Add Me To Your Mailing List" link at the bottom of the left nav.
In addition to providing input via the survey, I think we need to pay more attention to what our colleagues in the Triangle are doing because:

It's the morning after the big Chrome OS event where Google executives and engineers revealed a myriad of details about the company's first attempt at creating their own operating system. But now that the news is out, has Chrome OS lost its shine? People had high expectations for Google's new operating system…

Barcamp is tomorrow!
Pre-party tonight at the venue (
Area 15)
Sorry I forgot to mention this earlier... this is a really cool, free event in Charlotte that you should check out.
"Organizers and fans say the "unconference" has a loose format that allows the expertise of participants to take center stage.
Oh, and there's free food, free drinks, free T-shirts, free coffee cups…

Great meeting today everyone! Enjoyed the conversation, the turnout, and the lunch! (thanks TEKsystems)
For those that didn't attend, we started off talking about mobile devices and the user experience of them, and what we like/don't like, what works, whats useful, and we sort of rambled onto a bunch of topics ranging from how kids today use 'computers' and the internet, to how non 1st world countries use the internet and mobile devices.
We touched on social media also, including facebook and…

I talked to the Charlotte SEO Meetup group about user experience this week, and put together this "top 10" list of considerations. This is a presentation I'd like to refine, and add more concrete examples - from websites "in the wild" - to support the concepts. Would love to get feedback from this group.

Anyone have any preferences to where we meet? Meredith said we could use a room on 5th floor of Modis if we want, or we can just meet somewhere for lunch and shoot the sheet.

Well, some people said ning was hot, so lets try it out! I'm tired of facebook anyway.
We had a great meeting yesterday at Modis! good turnout, good conversation. I liked the informal discussion we had. For a future meeting, I'd like to share/see demos of good design patterns and/or new technology that enable good design patterns for web applications and web sites.
Some good examples on Dojo and Jquery sites of downloadable javascript, but seeing them in action would also be great.
ALright, w…
